He was called Tony. His father was Josiah Watkins Crump and his mother was Martha D. Peterson. Josiah Watkins Crump was the oldest son of Charles Crump of Northampton Co., NC and Mary Cook of Greensville Co. Charles Crump's father was Josiah Crump and his mother was Sarah Vaughn. Josiah died in 1812 in Northampton Co., NC. Josiah's father was Joseph Crump and mother was Cassandra (probably Moore). Joseph left New Kent about 1749 and moved to Northampton NC. George Robert Crump's sisters were: Martha G. "Puss", Susan Crump, Caroline Corrina, Mary "Pete" P., and Lucinda Mason Crump. There may have been others that I have not copied from my grandfather's notes. He lived in Emporia and knew some of them. Hope this helps.
