Mary Crump married George ENGLAND, also of GLS. Mr. Crump was born Aug. 12, 1946, in Burke County, a son of Betty Maye Crump of Drexel and the late Robert Herman Crump. He was a self-employed truck driver and attended Faith Baptist Church. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Dalton Norman. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Ellen Minton Crump of the home; four sons, Kenneth Norman of Bethlehem, Jimmy Norman and wife, Annette, and Jerry Norman, of Granite Falls, and Roger Norman and wife, Angie, of Morganton; his grandmother, Alma Roper Maye of Drexel; and a sister, Sherr'e Crump West and husband, Jerry, of Connelly Springs. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Brent, Tyler, Corey and Nikki Norman and Candace Pritchard; and his mother-in-law, Stella Mae Minton of Granite Falls. The funeral service for Johnny E. Crump will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22! , 2007, in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese, with the Revs. Jerry Lingerfelt and David Cash officiating. Interment will follow in Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
