Hi Truett, I have the information you need on the Thomas Jefferson Crumly d. 1/24/1927, buried in Crumly Chapel UM Cem. Birmingham, AL. This TJCrumly is lst child of Benjamin Newton Crumly and Arabella Crumly. TJC is the oldest brother of my grandmother, so I know whereof I speak. I have the B.N.Crumly Bible. This TJC was born 7/15/1861 marr. Effie Williams, daughter of Rev. James Williams and Julia Ann McAbee. TJC and Effie only had 2 sons. The eldest, Robert M. was b. 1/24/1903 and d. 5/6/1970. He served in WWII and is buried in Crumly Chapel Cem. The 2nd son was Perry Crumly b. 5/1/1906 and died of diptheria 10/13/1907, buried Crumly Chapel Cem. There is another Thomas Jefferson Crumly, b. Ga. who is 7th child of John Clark Crumly and Jane Crumly of Crossville, AL. This TJC was b. 5/3/1861 and died 1/21/1927. This one is probably buried in Crossville, but this is NOT the one buried at Crumly Chapel UMC Cemetery. It is a coincidence that these 2 Thomas Jefferson Crumlys were b. same year and died within a few days of each other. The Crossville TJC was in DeKalb Co. AL not Jefferson Co. AL. This is about the 3rd time I have explained these 2 Thomas Jefferson Crumlys. I know I have written to Truett about them once if not twice. Hope this clears all misinformation up about these 2 guys. If you need any further documentation on my TJC see 1920 census which lists TJC, Effie and Robert in Jeff. Co. I need to know who this Crumly married. Some info indicates that he married Sara Betty Fields. I know that Thomas Jefferson died 1-24-1927 and is buried in Crumly Chapel Cemetery. I need to know all about his children. One of his children (Clarence Jefferson Sr.)migrated to Rome, Floyd Co., Ga. where he married, raised his children, and died there. Someone has the requested info, so let me hear you ASAP. Truett Sr. > Regards > > Truett W. Crumley Sr. > [email protected] >
