    1. [CRUMLEY] Berkeley County W.V/Frederick County Va.
    2. >From the publication HOPEWELL FRIENDS HISTORY 1734-1934, Frederick County, Va.-Joint Committee of Hopewell Friends:289.675599 H77. page 19-year 1752 "Along with two other Friends, JAMES CROMLEY and Lewis Neill, Issace Perkins was elected to this new vestry, and served for many years." page 22 "On August 31, 1744, Giles Chapman sold 150 acres of this land to Ulrich Ruble, and on June 3, 1744, Giles Chapman and Sarah his wife sold the remaining 250 acres of this tract to JAMES CROMLEY. Witnesses to this last mentioned deed were John Lottler, James Carter, John Frost, and W. runnells." page 305 James Crumley was a witness at the marriage of Solomon Hoge and Mary fisher on the 5th day of the 3rd month. 1794 The second entry above I have seen before, not certain about the other references here. A kind researcher looked this up for us, as she had a copy of the History of Hopewell Friends. She commented that the John Littler mentioned in deed was her own 6th great grandfather. More than likely all of these above we have seen before, but thought it good to share it again as some of us may not have referenced these. Judy V. Mason
