    3. Tricia, Capt. Madison Florida Crumley MD was the oldest son and second child to William Monroe and Sarah McClain Crumley, born about 1840 in Madison, Florida where is father was serving his first minsterial charge in the Methodist faith. William named most of his boys after cities where he was serving a charge at their birth. Madison received his medical training from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta, Georgia graduating in 1860. This school is one of the oldest medical college in Georgia and still exist today. Madison practiced medicine in Atlanta, then went to Oglethorpe, Macon Co., Ga. where he was a doctor, druggist, and Mayor. He also had a home in Atlanta just across (west) from the stadiums Old Fulton County and Turner Field which he inherited from his father. Have you been to Atlanta? Madison married Laura J. Robinson of a well-to-do family in Oglethorpe. Madison served in the Army of Northern Virginia CSA along with my great grandfather Sidney Smith Crumley and his brother George. Madison got wounded and captured in Ceder Creek, Virginia (a major battle) along with Sidney. George died from wounds. Madison died on 5-29-1912 as a disabled Confederate soldier. Laura died 1-18-1910. Both buried in City Cemetery. No children have been located.
