    3. Judy, The information that James and Catherine had a son James has not been verified. We believe this to be in error and was posted some years ago on an LDS site that no one seems to be able to correct. Personally, I believe this to be a grandson of James and Catherine through original James' son William and wife Hannah Mercer. This grandson James married Mary (Polly) Stonebridge. If you have verification that son James existed a lot of us would be very happy to change our records. However, we would need a verifiable paper trail to do that.
