Hi, Hugh, Jr! Thanks for letting me know that I wasn't committing an "illegal activity" by offering to print copies of my family's cherished Crumley "big book" compiled by your father. It is just such a wonderful thing & I've enjoyed it since I was a child. Didn't know how many original copies were still left out there but I wanted to share mine w/ whomever was interested. And it seems like there are ALOT of Crumleys out there interested in genealogy. Computers are a miracle of the modern age when it comes to this kind of research---makes info & staying in touch instantaneous! By the way, on another interesting little note.....It was my mom's Uncle Cy (my great uncle who I only met once) who was the long-time conductor of the train called "Tweetsie" and whose photo your father saw in the newspaper in St. Louis that prompted his research....leading to his decades of hard work in the Crumley family genealogy research. I remember my mom telling me about your father who started his work when she was young at the time: "This old man came to town and stayed for weeks. He went to all kinds of places searching for records and even out into the woods looking for old gravestones." In fact, I'm heading over to the Las Vegas area next week to visit my parents and I know she'll get a big kick out of me hearing from Hugh Mottern, Jr. and from Ken Hodge, her cousin's son. Alot easier to keep track of people this day and age as opposed to just a few yrs ago! Thanks for the "reprint permission" if needed! Patty in California
