    1. Re: [CRUMLEY] James' children

    3. Hello I have never seen any evidence on the dates of birth for James' children. I have looked at church and Quaker records in the Chester Co, PA area with no luck. The genealogy my Grandfather had done shows a James Jr. This genealogy states: " James, although not mentioned in his father's will." As this genealogy is found in the Library of Congress and at the LDS, I think that is where people are picking it up. There is no evidence what so ever in this works to support this claim. I believe that a James Jr. should not be considered unless someone out there has documentation outside of this genealogy. We don't know just when James was born either, do we? Or where, for that matter. Several things have been picked up and included on assumptions that should now be looked at and not included, I think. Just my thoughts Arlettia Crumley Fyfe ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jerry Crumly" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, April 18, 2002 6:48 PM Subject: [CRUMLEY] James' children > > About James Crumley's children: I do not know of any evidence that there > > was a James, Jr. He did have a grandson James (William's first son) who > > stayed in Frederick County, Virginia - some of the information people have > > put online even has James, Jr. marrying Mary Stonebridge, who was the wife > > of grandson James. > > If no one can provide documentation, Paul, it shouldn't be on our website. > This is exactly the kind of thing we're trying to filter out. > > >Also, is there any evidence that the 5 children of James > > Crumley were born in 1733, 1735, 1737, 1739, and 1741 (and, especially, > > another one in 1743)? > > Good question.
