    3. These Harrison County Crumleys are children of Thomas, son of William. Larry Dickerson has done considerable research on this family - see his note dated April 9. It's interesting that not only did 3 of William's children moved to Harrison County, Ohio - Thomas, and his sisters Mary Heberling and Rebecca Wright - but also, as I mentioned before, the Irish immigrant James Crumley (b. 1801). I'm sure Larry is more familiar with the county than I am, but when I drove through a couple of years ago, it struck me as too hilly to be very good for farming - certainly worse than Frederick County, Virginia. paul -----Original Message----- From: Jerry Crumly [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Saturday, April 20, 2002 7:49 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [CRUMLEY] Ohio cousins <snip> >here are other Crumleys listed > in > "Historical Collections of Harrison County in the State of Ohio" by Charles > A. 3. To Larry Dickerson and Paul Nichols. Paul, you mentioned a James Crumley (Irish immigrant) being born 1801 migrated to Harrison Co., Ohio in your E-Mail of 4-20-2002 (Paul). Was this James born in America? Do you and Larry have any additional info on this CRUMLEY? Also Thomas brothers (Aaron ans Stephen) migrated to Harrison Co and Stephen moved on to Greene Co., Ohio. If you or Larry have additional info on this JAMES CRUMLEY, please let me hear from you. 3. I have the 1850 census record for James Crumley. According to the record (Harrison County, OH), he a physician, age 49, and born in Ireland. Other family members wrere Jane, 48, b. PA; Elizabeth, 20, b. OH; Margaret, 18, b. OH; Jane, 16; b. OH; and Isabelle, 10, b. OH. I think it's interesting that he moved to Harrison County, where there were several of our James Crumley descendents living. Maybe that's a clue to the origin of the family. paul -----Original Message----- From: Truett Crumley [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, September 20, 2002 8:55 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [CRUMLEY] Ohio cousins To Larry Dickerson and Paul Nichols.
