You're right, Arlettia, that these wills would be too early to mention Hannah Crumley. Online information (you know what I think of that) suggests John Mercer died, as you suggest, in 1749. Again, based on online information, Hannah had a sister Elizabeth - maybe she married a Morris. But, as you say, if the will is dated 1760, it's too early. There's only about a 9- or 10-year period in which Hannah was married to William Crumley, so any will naming her Crumley would have to have been written then. The online stuff is obviously suspect, but if you don't just assume it's true, it can sometimes give you good leads. For example, I see that Hannah's ancestors are traced back five generations into Ireland. It shouldn't be that difficult to check this out: John Mercer, b. 1594 in Ireland Rev. John Amos Mercer, b. 1620 in Hillsboro, County Down, Ireland; m. Elizabeth Aaron Moses Louis Mercer, b. 1654 in Hillsboro, County Down, Ireland; m. Lizzie Miller John Mercer, b. 1676 in Elizabeth, NJ; m. Sarah Moore Edward Mercer, b. 1704; m. Ann Coats Hannah Mercer, m. I show it was her brother, John, who named her. She was also named in the will of Elizabeth Morris in 1760. Hannah wasn't married yet. My records show John died in 1749, unmarried. His will is on file and his father, Edward Mercer, was his administrator. ( Will book 1, pg 351) As I'm also showing that William and Hannah were married around 1763 0r 1764 from ages of children, it doesn't look like she would have been married when she inherited from these two wills, I'm afraid. Edward Mercer's will is dated 1762 and proved in 1763 and at that time she wasn't married, so it doesn't look like these two wills will be our answer. I hadn't look that deep until you asked. But - here's a thought. Maybe she inherited property that she carried into her marriage. There might be help there after all. Paul, I have the date and book number of Paul's will. That should be easy to check, and I don't think that is on line info. I believe, but not positive, I picked it up in Salt Lake out of a index of wills. The other, your right, came from another researcher. One of the main Mercer researchers doesn't even recognize Hannah - period. But maybe by going to the Mercer list someone might have some information there. Anything is worth a try.
