My family always used the E and I think that they would be insulted if I told them to take it out.....It is whatever you grew up with and it doesn't bother me at all. My grandmother, Josephine Crumley, daughter of Henry Morgan Jr. had the E on her marriage license . In 1838 ,Thomas Crumley, was the way the deed was made out. That was in Habersham County and also on his service record.. If it was not an E, then it was a B but it sure looks like an E to me. Now on Henry Morgan Jr's tombstone, the E was left out.....Mildred Madison
