    3. Truett, Lydia (Crumley) Babb died 2/19/1857. I do not have a birth or marriage date for her. She and Valentine S. Babb had 5 children, with 3 of these dying in infancy. The other 2 children are Emily Babb (1847-1892) and Amanda Babb (1853-1936). Valentine Babb went on to marry a second time. I cannot answer your other question about the Isaac Crumley in the Virginia 64th, except to say that it may be neither Isaac Crumley (father) or Isaac D. Crumley (son). At the outbreak of the civil war Isaac (father) would have been at least 64 years and hence unlikely to serve. While Isaac D. (son) would have been the right age, he was listed in the 1856 Iowa State census and was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Greene County, Iowa having died 2/27/1862 and hence had probably not been in Virginia for some time. However, the Roster of Union Soldiers for Iowa as supplied by the US Army shows Alfred Crumly and Jotham Crumly (both without the e, and both Isaac D's brothers) in the Iowa 10th, but there is no mention of an Isaac. 3. Alan, could you tell me where Lydia was born? Where did she marry Valentine Babb? Where did she die? Who did the two girls (Emily and Amanda) marry?
