    3. That's what I had discussed with Truett several years ago, Faustene. I found this "research paper" quoting the Annals of Newberry County with a little sticky note on it from you which said you got it from Billy Cox. My records do not show any of this to be true, but I thought I had overlooked another William Smith Crumley. 3. Jerry, there were two William Smith Crumleys. The older William Smith was the third and youngest child of Charles Cromley (Crumley) who married a Heaton in Newberry Co., SC.. The younger William Smith was the son of Benjamin and Margaret Brooks Crumley. This Benjamin was the older brother of William Smith belonging to Charles Crumley. Charles and Rebecca Heaton Crumley had three children: Joan (md a Gregory). Benjamin (md a Brooks), and William Smith (md Elizabeth Jones Monroe.) I am in agreement with Fauntine, and Mildred Madison. This Benjamin who md a Brooks had 11 children and this family lived in Gwinnett Co., Ga. near Sawunee and Lawrenceville, Ga.. This Benjamin had a son named William Smith who md a Cynthia King Truett Sr.. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jerry Crumly" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, April 26, 2002 7:49 PM Subject: Re: [CRUMLEY] Joan Gregory and William Smith Crumley > That's what I had discussed with Truett several years ago, Faustene.
