    1. Re: [CRUMLEY] General Mardy Crumley
    2. Rich Crumley
    3. Roger, I know of two of my ancestor's with the name General Mardy Crumley. The first General Mardy Crumley was born on July 29, 1893 to James and Sarah in White County, GA. He died on a troop ship enroute to Europe in WWI. My father (the other General Mardy Crumley) informs me that the body was actually shipped back and buried in the Chattahoochee Baptist Church Cemetary, Clarksville, GA. The second General Mardy Crumley (my father) was born on February 21, 1931 to Roy Swifton and Orlie Almetta (Wells) Crumley in Habersham County, GA (where he still lives). I was not aware of General (the brother of Nancy) Jackson, nor of their father Hardy. My information is from word of mouth (no supporting documentation). I've just recently starting gathering documents and so far, I have my own birth certificate. I guess one has to start somewhere.
