Trish and Ruth, The way that we always calculated the cousins it is correct that they were 2nd cousins, but if you look on the chart in the FTM it shows them as 1st cousins once removed. On the lighter side it shows that my mother and I were 5th cousins and that I am my own 5th cousin once removed..... And besides all that my sons and I are also 6th cousins.
