HELLO SURNAME LISTERS I am trying to locate the above family and descendants. JOHN CROWTHER, an engine driver , whose birth location and date I do not know, but it is in the above areas. He married HANNAH NORMANTON from Ovenden, Halifax, and they had two children, NORMANTON, and HERBERT, born 1865 and 1869 respectively. The family lived at Hangingroyd, Hebden Bridge, in 1881, and John had died by this time. The IGI shows other names in Hannah's family, were LASSEY and CHARNOCK. I am of Herbert's line. I have lost Normanton. I know he was an engineer/stationery engine driver, married Hannah Wilkinson, and had two three children, Dorothy, Hilda Mary, and James. I might have better luck when the 1901 census returns to our airwaves!!!!! I would also kike to find out more about JOHN CROWTHER, if I can Brenda Townsend
