He was married to Sarah Ann and had children William (b1858), Albert (b1864), Arthur (b1867), Mary Ann (b1869), Clara (b1871), George (b1877), Alfred (b1880). Charles’ father was George Crowther, also coal miner, born approx 1788. George was married to Ann by 1851 but previously married to Nancy Jagger, I think. Georges children were Joseph (b1822), William (b1826), Charles (b1829), John (b1832), George (b1837). I believe Charles’ father George was born in Dewsbury. He was either christened on 24 Oct 1787 and his father was also George or christened on 24 March 1788 and his father was James.
