    1. Will of Martha CROWTHER
    2. Pat Gauge
    3. I have a copy of the 1836 will of Martha CROWTHER of the borough of St Pancras in the county of Middlesex (now in Greater London England). It is very hard to decipher. I believe she may have been the mother of Martha CROWTHER who married Dennis SAVAGE Old Church St Pancras in 1825. Is anyone else reseaching CROWTHER from the same area. Pat Gauge, nee Savage, still living in Greater London.

    1. Rev Jonathan CROWTHER of Northowram (1759-1824)
    2. Terry Barcock
    3. I have collected details of over 200 descendants of Jonathan CROWTHER (1759-1824) a Northowram, Halifax man who became one of the early leading figures in Wesleyan Methodism. I would be interested to hear from anyone researching his brothers Timothy (1757-1829) and Robert (1762-1833) who were also Methodist Preachers. They all trained in Northowram but spent their careers on-circuit and in a new station anywhere in the British Isles every year or two, so despite having large families, they rarely left many records in any one place. 3. It's a while since I made any enquiries and I feel that now might be the right time to repeat my request for information concerning CROWTHER individuals and/or familes descended from Israel, Squire, Charles or James who all lived at Pickwood Scar in the early part of the nineteenth century. These were the children of Robert and Betty, or maybe Bob and Elsie. Another sibling was Edwin, my great-great-grandfather, who married 'the girl next door' Mary Standeven. Any information would be very much appreciated. _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 helps eliminate e-mail viruses. 3. HELLO SURNAME LISTERS I am trying to locate the above family and descendants. JOHN CROWTHER, an engine driver , whose birth location and date I do not know, but it is in the above areas. He married HANNAH NORMANTON from Ovenden, Halifax, and they had two children, NORMANTON, and HERBERT, born 1865 and 1869 respectively. The family lived at Hangingroyd, Hebden Bridge, in 1881, and John had died by this time. The IGI shows other names in Hannah's family, were LASSEY and CHARNOCK. I am of Herbert's line. I have lost Normanton. I know he was an engineer/stationery engine driver, married Hannah Wilkinson, and had two three children, Dorothy, Hilda Mary, and James. I might have better luck when the 1901 census returns to our airwaves!!!!! I would also kike to find out more about JOHN CROWTHER, if I can Brenda Townsend
