Author: grannydjc Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.crouse/452.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Well...... Do you know if I have the marriage correct for Jacob and Margaret? I have been searching for their marriage license and coming up blank. At one time I found a burial in 1840 for a Margaret Bollinger in Bedford, PA but I can't find it again. I'm thinking that this Margaret is the mother of Jacob's 1st 6 children and married the Elizabeth and had 4 more children with Alexander being born in 1841. Can't prove it. Can you? Any old bibles? Henry Cruise Bollinger was my great-great grand father John Jacob Bollinger's brother. So I guess that is how Henry's family wound up in Marshfield, MO. The Tornado Story was most likely horrible for them. I have always wondered if the Margaret's maiden name was realy Crouse or Cruise. Do you have any documentation on that? I have in my data your Charlotte down to Lucy but stopped adding spouses for some reason. I grew up in Springfield, MO did you? I have family lineage reports from 1970s showing the popular Mary Stetler and Andrew Crouse Jr. parentage. My concern is the Columbia County 1850 census shows Charles as 11yr (dob 1839). There is a grave for that Charles in Orangeville PA. I wonder if people have confused the two Charles as the same person...?
