If it can be shown that Issac was the father of this William, it would definitely help with the confusion I believe exists regarding where this William and Ann Shelton actually belong (see "Crosthwaite Chronicle", vol. 6, pg. 263-265). My question is obvious...if Issac was the father of the William who married Ann Shelton, then who was William's mother? For many years, I have been convinced that we have not yet been able to account for all of the grandchildren of William Crosthwait/Crosweight d. 1743 in VA. I can't prove it, but I believe it. Perhaps someone has confused William d. 1743 in VA (who some believe was the son of Timothy Crosthwaite and his wife Mary), and his son Issac, with the William d. 1786 and William d. 1743 and his father Issac. Frank Crosswhite suggested in vol, 6 "Crosthwaite Chronicle" pg. 288; that this William d. 1743 was the son of Issac and Elizabeth Crosweight of Crowland, Lincoln County, England. Burt
