His mother Eliza E. Crosswhite raised him by herself with much love from all the townspeople. As a matter of fact, they had a very nice little home with some acreage on a knoll overlooking Mountain City, I believe it was on the eastern side and was adjacent to a brook and the water supply for the community. At the age of 6, 1934, we visited the home site, and met many of dad's cousins, but no Crosswhites. I really would like to get in touch with your friend, Bettye Morley, perhaps she could find some info at the clerks office.. Dad was born May 6th, 1996./ Just found in a pile of books last night, a friendship book belonging to Eliza with many names of her friends and cousins.. William A.
