    3. Dear Subscriber's, (I tried twice to send this note (with a file attached) to the list and the note failed to come back to me. So, I will assume the file I attached caused a problem and I will try it this way.) I am Burt Crosswhite of McAlester, OK, a descendent (4th, perhaps 5th, gt.grandson) of Abraham Crosthwait and 3rd gt. grandson of George Crosswhite, b. May 2, 1772, of Carter Co., TN. For those of you who might be interested, and several have asked for this information, I am sending along two items: (1) A typed version of Abraham Crosthwait's will, and; (2) a court record listing Abraham Crosswhite and his son, or grandson, George Crosswhite as members serving on a Jury together. I will welcome any information any of you can provide on the descendents of George Crosswhite, particularly John Melvin Crosswhite, Sr., and Abraham Lincoln Crosswhite - his son and grandson. Abraham L. Crosswhite was my gt. grandfather. I will, of course, be most happy to share information I have. The transcription of Abraham's will is best effort, and was sent to me by several people. This one by Frank Crosswhite. I have a scanned *.bmp image of the original, or a copy of the original, sent to me by another individual. The will appears to have been folded and refolded many times. According to Mrs. Bettye Morley, who was with the Johnson County, TN Historical Society until she retired, the will was found by Lucille Loyd Shell of Oklahoma. Mrs. Morley told me the will was not probated. TRANSCRIPTION OF WILL OF ABRAHAM CROSWHIT: [top cut off] [twenty] sixth day of December, 180l.
