Mary Floy, & Burt, et als Thank you Mary, for the census review you sent me(by Tom Gentry whose name was mentined sometime back by my father) The information really shows me what I perceived earlier, at least it infers that Sam T. And Joe F.(T.) were being raised under the roof of Thos J. And Rebecca J. as GS, which I assume would mean God Sons. After thei demise, Joe T. was raised by Eliza Eveline Crosswhite. In what capacity, I cannot tell by what I now know. Census 1900 Sam T. 15; Joe F.(T.) 4 Census 1910 Sam T. 25; Joe T. 14 Census 1920 Eliza was 57, and listed widowed (& alone) My father, Joseph T. Crosswhite moved to Norfolk, Virginia circa 1916, he later married my mother, Elzabeth Ann Phillips, on April 24, 1926. He passed away in November, 1978. I am almost certain that, Worley T., Willie P. and Sam T. were brothers and sister/ it was also my opinion that my father was their brother, but have no basis for that, other than as a boy, I always referred to him, as my Uncle Sam, and was never corrected. Sam T. Crosswhite, his wife Stella, and their children lived in Norfolk, Virginia throughout his later years. Family Bible, indicates that Nancy Loretta Crosswhite (Retta aka Rettie) married D.M. Fritts, September 9, 1913... / also Mary, I have the obituary For Rebecca Jane Crosswhite, April 12, 1909; written by G.W. Paul, and J.K. Wilson, esq. thanks again for your patience in this.. cousin, joe, thrice removed(whatever) sam T.
