    3. PUBLICATION OF CROSTHWAITE CHRONICLE NUMBER 6 (PAGES 261-296). The Crosthwaite Chronicle began publication in October, 1957 with the issue of pages 1-28 under the editorship of Georgia Crosthwaite, Hasel Crosswait Vail and Irma Mildred Crosswait Stillman, all descendants of Abraham Crosweight/Croswhite (1726-1802) and his wife Mary Taylor. Until recently the latest issue was Number 5 (pages 200-260) edited by Alwilda Crosthwaite, Elizabeth Crosthwaite and Irma Mildred Crosswait Stillman. Now Number 6 (pages 261-196) has been published by Frank S. Crosswhite (also a descendant of Abraham and Mary) and his wife Carol D. Crosswhite. Number 6 is dedicated to John Franklin Crosswhite (1903-1993) and his wife Mary Hazel Clawson (1906-1991), with a two-page biographical sketch on them. Other articles deal with 1) Genealogical Corrections on the Descendants of William Crosthwait (1724-1771) and His Wife Milley, 2) Philip Crosthwaite (1825-1903), the Shanghaied Scholar from Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland, Who Became Sheriff of San Diego County, California and Then the Mexican Caballero Patriarch of a Baja California Family, and 3) The Romney Family of Utah and Chihuahua, Mexico -- Descendants of a Long Line of Crosthwaites. Features in Number 6 which will be common to futures issues are: 1) Descendants Searching for Lost Ancestors, 2) Ancestors Searching for Lost Descendants, 3) Tell It Again, Grandpa, featuring stories by or about family members, 4) Faith of Our Fathers, dealing with church history in relation to members of the family. Also included are articles concerning news from present-day branches of the family. All persons interested in the family are invited to send material in for publication. Photos are published in either black-and-white or color. Cost is $2.95 per issue but this goes down to $2.50 if a person subscribes to four issues. Subscriptions or material for publication should be sent to Frank S. Crosswhite and Carol D. Crosswhite, 37599 Hwy. 60, Superior, AZ 85273. Questions, inquiries or material for publication can be sent to xthwait@juno.com. It is not necessary to subscribe in order to send in material for publication. If there are a number of family members in a particular area, they could request a local library to subscribe for all to use.
