    1. Fannie (Cronk) Stewart - Clarissa's Sister?
    2. Hello Cronk lookers!! I'm sure you've seen my postings looking for parents/family to my Clarissa CRONK (born about 1812, married Norman IVES). Many of you have sent info on your CRONKs and I keep all of it! While going through my CRONK mail folder I came on the following from the Vt. Vitals that some kind person sent: Fanny Cronk of Pownal, Bennington Cty, VT, m. Samuel Stewart 10 July 1819 Now.... all by itself, this item from the VR's doesn't mean much. But then I started looking at my database.... Norman and Clarissa (Cronk) IVES had a daughter named Mary Ann (who married Thomas Sears DICKENS). Now, this Mary Ann had some interesting naming conventions for her children. Many of them are named full names of their grandparents, aunts, uncles, ect... Now, we do have a Clara Belle (probably named for Clarissa), we have a William Norman (Norman after Grandpa IVES, William is not known), we have a Norman Ives, a Frank Sears, an Alonzo Milo (Wher'd he come from??), and a Fanny Stewart. When I got to the Fanny Stewart, the alarm bells went off! Pownal, Bennington Cty, Vt. is right on the Mas. border, just north of North Adams (Where Norman and Clarissa lived for a while). My thought is perhaps Mary Ann named her daughter after a favorite aunt (which would be Fanny). So.... mayben I don't have parents yet for Clarissa.... but... I may have a sister!! Does anyone have a Fanny (Fannie) CRONK who marries Samuel Stewart???? Adrennelan's pumpin'!!!! :-) Nan [email protected]
