I am a Cronk and my family is from Tennessee. My ggg-grandfather was William Alexander Cronk. My father always told us that we were German and that our name, at some point, was spelled Kronk. I have not been able to go back farther than William at this time and am having some trouble sorting out who is who in the late 1800s in Tennessee.
