Hi Vicki, I was going thru message boards etc and found an old one where you were given info that John and Rosetta with a 3 yr old R Cronk with them was on the 1871 Northumberland census. In my putzzing I found on the 1881 census Brighton, Northumberland, John and Rosetta and now 13 yr old Rosanna but they are under the name CRONKWRIGHT. On the 1871 it said the 3 yr old was born in the USA, I thought maybe they were popping back and forth. On the 1881 census it said Rosanna was born in Canada. I am also trying to place a Sarah Cronk maybe a sister to John Cronk above born abt 1822 and probably daughter of John and Hannah who married Christopher Phillips and produced my GGGrandmother Samantha born in 1839, called a niece to John Cronk. Who the John and Sarah are I have no idea. I used to think they were just misidentified on the 1851 census, but now I see both families on the 1861 census so that idea is gone. Christopher Phillips has brothers who settled in Northumberland County as well Abraham born abt 1801, Renselser born abt 1814. I have collected quite a bit of Cronk information I have as many baptismal records and marriage records as I can find on that name, in Ontario and NY but I am still at a loss. Who are his parents? This 3rd Rueben is the one of interest to me: Reuben B. b 16 Aug 1818 m Hannah Clement. Issue: Rebecca Ann, Sarah Emily. In 1851 I find him and his older sister Annie living with my great grandfather Samuel, in 1861 Reuben is married with 2 girls, while Annie (I think slightly impaired and single) is now living with parents John and Sarah both born 1783 in NY, USA, in 1871 Reuben is widowed and Annie is with him again with his girls, 1881 is the same except Sarah age 88 (I believe his mother) is also with them, 1891 Reuben and sis Annie are living with Reuben's married daughter Sarah m John Isles, 1901 Reuben is living still with daughter. This all takes place in Murray, Northumberland East. Of most interest to me is John Cronk and Sarah born 1783. Any help will be appreciated.
