The connection is with the Gerrat born in Philipsburg in 1759...who is, I believe, the older brother of my ancestor John Cronk born 1765. Their father Gerrat was killed while being held prisoner by the British at the beginning of the War but I can't find any reference to this. I have so little information and would love to know what you have. My gg-grandmother was Rebecca Cronk Harrison, born 1810 and daughter of the John Cronk, born 1765.
