Way to go CLAIRE!! Let's get these Crunks figured out! Very nice to meet you Mic. There sure are a lot of J.W. Crunks running around (like that hasn't been said before) I haven't been writing much because I've had so much Crunk material to study lately, not to mention the fact that school is out for summer and I have 3 kids bugging me all the time!! I know, I know, I **try** to enjoy it. Here's my line: Descendants of Wright Crunk Generation No. 1 1. Wright Crunk was born Abt 1815 in Kentucky. He married Susan Boyce 09 May 1845 in Logan County, Kentucky. Children of Wright Crunk and Susan Boyce are: + 2 i. Lucy C. Crunk, born Abt 1854 in Missouri. + 3 ii. Frances Elizabeth "Lillie", born Abt 1856 in Missouri. 4 iii. Laura Crunk, born Abt 1860 in Missouri. 5 iv. Willie Crunk, born Abt 1862 in Missouri. + 6 v. Mattie Lee Crunk, born October 1864 in Clinton, Henry, Missouri; died 07 July 1947 in Shreveport, Caddo, Louisiana. I have just a **few** questions about my "Wright" Crunk! Hah Hah [1] He's in the 1840 Logan Co, KY census married to **someone** and has two boys under 5. Then in 1845 he marries (assumed 2nd marriage) Susan Boyce, and heads out to parts unknown because I can't find him or Susan in 1850. Then in 1860, he and Susan are living in Clinton, Missouri where most of their children are born. No sign of the two boys who were in the 1840 census. Where was he in 1850? [2] In 1870, Caldwell County, TX, Susan is living with above listed children (no sign of Wright) next door to Joseph **Wilmoth** Crunk and his wife SUSAN Gatlin, and their children. Living near are a George W. Crunk from TN with wife Fanny & children. What happened to Wright? Is Joseph Wilmoth Crunk really Joseph Wright Crunk? Could he be so heartless as to divorce my Susan and then marry another younger Susan and live right next door to his ex....I don't think so ,but.... I think something is going on here but I'm not sure what. Joseph **Wilmoth** Crunk's mother just happens to be Jemima Ann WRIGHT !! HELLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPP My plan of attack: still waiting on that marriage license hoping for some light at the end of the tunnel! Until next time..... Anne
