My John must have been born around 1750. There was a family of Cronks in Ernestown (near KIngston) in the 1780s: Abraham & wife, widowed mother, sons John, William, also a Hercules, who came first and may have been a brother of Abraham. There seems to have been two John Cronks in the area at this time. Mine couldn't have been the son of Abraham, but may have been the brother(?). I'll check the 1790 US census for Teunis for you. He should be on it as head of household. It's free at my library. Cronks were very thick on the ground in Dutchess County NY. Some of the relationships are well documented, but there are significant gaps. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
