This is not my direct family. I have no further information on these people except for Emily and Mary Kronkhyte or Kronk, the last two children of John and Lydia Kronk. Emily and Mary were not in the bible record as it was torn off. I would enjoy sharing information with anyone researching the parents of John Kronkhyte and anyone researching Emily Kronkyte who married J. Latting Caverly. Good luck to you all in your research. I hoped I helped some of you. Lori MacCormack Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. They are both show on the 1861 Census in Cramahe Twp. Northumberland Co. Ontario John age 75, born CW, Christian, laborer, married; Hannah age 73, born CW, married; John Jr., 33 born Ontario, married Rosetta (John Jr.s wife) age 22, born Ontario, married. That makes John Sr. born about 1786, and Hannah born about 1788. Anyone with ideas as to which Cronk family John is from? The only John with a birthdate around that time is listed as being married to someone else. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I haven't come across any Totten families yet, but I am just begining my search of the Cronk line. I know there was also some Cronks living in Isabella County, Mich. I don't think that line had a John, I believe that family also immigrated to Michigan from Ontario. I feel there could be some connection there, because the towns they lived in were less than 20 miles apart. I just haven't found the connection yet and in Ontario they also lived in the same general vacinity. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I will take a look at the death record and see if it's the right one. Edith was Walter's sister. I found her death record in Clare county she died I believe in 1891. For some reason Walter's birth wasn't registered. I can't find it at all. If you could contact me direct at vickih20317@yahoo.com. I can send you confirmation of some of these things. I am a descendant of William Cronk, who I believe was also a son of Tunis. I have information that there was another sibling, John. Both of these Cronks had children in Ontario, Canada, but both were born in the US. I have also seen mention of an Abraham, also born in the US but emigrated to Ontario. I would appreciate hearing if you have something to connect these Cronks. Regards, Robyn. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I can't make out two of the other children's names, but one is named Sarah. I also have a birth record for Edith Dingman, born to Samantha and Hezekiah in November 1878. Another tree online shows other children of the couple to be Nicholas Dingman (1860), Charles H (1861), Harriet V (16 Oct 1872) and Walter V (1875), although I have no confirmation of these at this time. Lastly, I now have a death record for Sarah's mother, Sarah Cronk (possibly nee Chrystler), who died in Northumberland County, Ontario on 15 Jul 1873. At the time she was a widow, so her husband, John, would have died before that time, but I have no date. Robyn. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I have a John Cronk, born in the US (probably NY) in 1785. He was married to a Sarah (Chrystler?) and was a farmer. However, I have him having at least two children (Sarah and John). John's wife Sarah died July 15, 1873 in Northumberland County, Toronto (according to Ontario death records), where she is listed as having been born in the US and was a widow at the time of her death. Looking forward to connect to your Cronks. Robyn. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
