The son of Fanny CROMPTON (LancashireOPC) Married in 1910 to Florence nee ALLEN at Bolton Register Office(LancashireBMD) 1901census ??? 1911census They are living in Farnworth. New born son Ernest. WW 1 he was a private in the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment (Medal Card- and yes Ancestry have transcribed his first name wrong!) Bob held the record for the most English football international caps. He retired in 1920 with 41 caps. His record was not beaten until Billy Wright in the 1950s.
