The only CROKER/AMBLER connection that I have in my database is the one that you gave me in 1994 - Thomas William and Charlotte. I have an entry for a Richard Edwin CROKER son of Samuel and Sophia baptised 13 April 1825 at Christchurch, Southwark, source IGI. As I am sure you already know, the only prospect for your Thomas in the 1881 census for Greater London was a lodger in the home of Petronilla PATERSON in Brighton, Sussex (not in London). He was age 43, born in Kensington, Surrey, married but his wife was not at the same address, and was a Professor of Elecution, a legal advisor, and an estate agent!!!
