Your comment about the Crofoot family being part Native Indian is very interesting. My mother who is the ggrand daughter of Mary Crofoot of Medina, Ohio (mid 1800's ) also mentions this possibility. What kind of family lore do you have? Cathy
i wish i had specific info, but i've only been able to piece things together from numerous sources, and i'm afraid there are some holes. but, i did find some census info for james crowfoot (his daughter was mary) in pennsylvania with an iroquois lineage. but, not enough information for a "red card" to be issued. regardless, i'm proud of this heritage and i'm currently learning all that i can about traditional native american ceremonies after two generations of ignorance on this subject. best of wishes on your efforts to learn more about this! tani Mckiblin1@aol.com wrote: Your comment about the Crofoot family being part Native Indian is very interesting.
