My ancestor married Harry Monroe in 1835. They had one daughter that I know of, Emerilla E. Monroe, born July 19, 1836. The 1870 and 1880 US Census records both indicate that Harry and Nancy Monroe were living in Newago Co, Michigan. Both census records indicate that Nancy was born in New York in about 1816. The 1854 record of daughter Emerilla's marriage to Lewis Platt Mitchell indicates that the wedding took place in the home of Harry Monroe in Newago Co, Michigan. Sid
