He's not a direct relative to me, but is in my mother's side of the family through a marriage. He was born 10 Oct 1892 in Hillsdale Co., MI.; was a Sgt. in US Army, WWI, serving in France; died June 1966. He married Golda Moore (my half first-cousin, twice removed!) Orin's parents were Willard A. Crofoot and Ella Tucker. Orin's brother was Jesse Crofoot. I've been keeping track of this Crofoot family because I have a Conah Crofoot on my father's side who is one of my dead ends. His wife (Nancy) and daugher (Mary Crofoot Viers Shaffer) ended up in Barry County, MI (were in Ohio and Indiana before then). They were also in the Branch and Hillsdale counties at one time.
