Hey.....I think there is a connection.... Im not sure if I have communicated with you before and sorry if this is old news (my life is really hectic)...but..... My ggggrandparents were Hiram Marks (1802-1861) and Mary I Crofoot...(1817-1897) They lived near Medina, Ohio...... I dont have a lot on the Crofoots but I have a little... The children of these people were Nathaniel, John, Peter, Mary, Eliza, and Hannah 1839-1915 (my gggrandmother too). Mary's Crofoots' siblings were Sara, John, Sama, Luther Zal, Curtis, and a couple more. Supposedly Mary's father was named Ambrose Crofoot.. Originally from Cayuga County, NY and died in Poe City, OH Other names in this crofoot line are, Moden, Harvey, Shaw, Stevens If this is of interest to you (or anyone else) let me know Sam Shaw In a message dated 4/23/02 11:13:52 PM Eastern Daylight Time, mckiblin@yahoo.com writes: > > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: Marks, Crofoot, Shaw > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/kYQ.2ACIB/9.55.1 > > Message Board Post: > > I read with interest that your gg grandmother was Mary Crofoot.
