    3. The town of Burlington, PA and Township of Burlington, PA were named for Burlington, VT as the first settlers of the area came from VT. There is a sign stating so on US RT 6 just east of the little village/town of Burlington, PA. I am amazed at the amount of traveling and long distance moving that was done in the early days of this country.
