    2. Hey.....I think there is a connection.... Im not sure if I have communicated with you before and sorry if this is old news (my life is really hectic)...but..... My ggggrandparents were Hiram Marks (1802-1861) and Mary I Crofoot...(1817-1897) They lived near Medina, Ohio...... I dont have a lot on the Crofoots but I have a little... The children of these people were Nathaniel, John, Peter, Mary, Eliza, and Hannah 1839-1915 (my gggrandmother too). Mary's Crofoots' siblings were Sara, John, Sama, Luther Zal, Curtis, and a couple more. Supposedly Mary's father was named Ambrose Crofoot.. Originally from Cayuga County, NY and died in Poe City, OH Other names in this crofoot line are, Moden, Harvey, Shaw, Stevens If this is of interest to you (or anyone else) let me know Sam Shaw In a message dated 4/23/02 11:13:52 PM Eastern Daylight Time, mckiblin@yahoo.com writes: > > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: Marks, Crofoot, Shaw > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/kYQ.2ACIB/9.55.1 > > Message Board Post: > > I read with interest that your gg grandmother was Mary Crofoot. The graveyard and church are located on US Rt. 6 West and corner of Steam Hollow Road. Found: Andrew Crofut, age 23, d. May 2, 1846. Stone is in excellent condition. Do you think that he could be son of Josiah Crofut jr., and Betsie Chrispell? Do you think that Andrew could be a brother to Levi Crofut b. 1828 in Bradford Co., PA, d. 1864 and buried in Governors Island, NY? I will try to get a picture of Andrew's stone for the Crofut album.

    1. [CROFOOT] Apologies for virus
    2. Robert & Andrea Wright
    3. We got hit with a virus, or trojan, or something. I am aware that two of you, most unfortunately, received an attachment that did not come from us, but hitched a ride on something else we sent. It was named "We are all sinners", but was not something religious, nor would we knowingly send it on to anyone. If you received an e-mail from us with that name, we greatly apologize for it's being sent on to you. It took days for Bob to upgrade with the newest virus catchers/firewall gizmo before we could safely get back on line. The day Bob finished installing, the "virus catcher/firewall" stopped at least 17 viruses, and a couple of trojans, and 3 hackers. I was shocked anyone would be interested in what our computer has on it, but Bob said some do it just for the challenge of it. I urge you to install the latest protections for your computers. There are some mentally and spiritually sick people out there, that, unfortunately, make it necessary to do so. Again, our most sincere apologies to those we know about, and those that we don't. Bob & Andi Wright
