Hi! I am wondering if one of you can help me with some of my questions. My gr grandfather, Charles Frank Stefanich ( Dragutin Stefanac on ship manifest) came to the US in 1902. He was born in Severin and his residence before immigration was Mozila, Hungary. His father's name was George and his mother's name was Barbara. He originally went to Calumet, Michigan and them to Butte, Montana and then Roundup, Montana. He married another Croat in Butte by the name of Agnes Mary Metully, born in Karlovac. Her mother's name was Dorothea Basar. Is anyone else researching these lines? Also, Charles Frank Stefanich had one pierced ear and I am wondering if there is any significance about it? Does anyone have any information about the Austrian Gendarme in the late 1800's and early !900's? Was it military police? Any Information would be very much appreciated.
