    3. Well when I wrote to them last year it only took about 2 days to get a reply. I kept it simple such as giving my grandfather's name and around the year he was born and his father's name and the village and the name of his wife. Every time I've emailed they have replied. I wrote in English and they wrote back in English. Maybe they have been unindated with emails and have a back log I dont know. Ask Frank (List Administrator) to send you a copy of letters on how to ask for information in Croatian if you dont already have a copy and try it that way. or try again and keep it short that's all I can say dont expect much from them other than telling you where you can write to get more information and remember they are not a research centre. BTW what areas are you searching mary -----Original Message----- From: sarmar1 [mailto:sarmar1@msn.com] Sent: Tuesday, 5 March 2002 5:06 PM To: CROATIA-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [CROATIA-L] Croatia Name assistance needed Mary, How long does it normally take Drzavni Arhiv Zagreb to respond to an inquiry? I sent an email over a month ago with surnames and towns where births and a baptism occurred, but have not received a reply. My email was in English, but I thought that was OK. What did I do wrong, or am I being too impatient? 3. I'm most interested in Sibenik, Primosten, and Pula. I discovered over the weekend that LDS now has film for those areas, so I guess I'll be spending a lot of time at the nearest FHC. I'll also try the archives again and keep the info to a minimum. Thanks, Sarah ----- Original Message ----- From: "Maryanne Lawrie" <m.lawrie@walter.net.au> To: <CROATIA-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, March 04, 2002 11:49 PM Subject: RE: [CROATIA-L] Croatia Name assistance needed > Well when I wrote to them last year it only took about 2 days to get a > reply.
