Tat You are so right when you say there is no custom for middle names in Croatia while I was there in Sept. we were discussing names with the family and when I said my name was Donna Marie one of the cousins said you have two names you must be rich. until then I did not realize that there was no middle names used there and my grandmother must have added a middle name to my mother after coming here.     3. I was born of an American Navy man and a Croatian mother, baptized in the Catholic Church, in Split. This was in 1920 and given the nameS Ella Anna Marie. Ella in Michigan
