I agree with Robert, being called a Balkan was not a good thing to most Croatians.     3. They may not have liked it (I had never heard this before), but it seems to be in the history books. I don't know why it is so bad as we are all children of God andf that is what is important. It is almost like "sticks and stones will break my bones, but names will never hurt me".
