    3. Dear Robert and List, I used Miro Caic over the years to help find information on my maternal grandmother who was from the Karlovac area. I found him effective - he was able to find and forward to me several official documents that I would have likely never found. He is humble and in my opinion undercharges, so I always tried to send him a little more than he asked for. We also developed a friendship over the years but I'd lost contact of late. (Thank you Robert for allowing me to reconnect). On a related note, Patti and I just returned from a week in New York. We spent a day on Ellis Island (The free film, "Island of Hope, Island of Tears," narrated by Gene Hackman is a must). It was a very emotional visit to think that I may have been standing literally in the footsteps where three of my four grandparents and two of Patti's grandparents stood. I was a bit disappointed in their computer search component. Although I had previously located in the LDS library in Salt Lake City ship manifests for three of the four grandparents who had passed through Ellis, I was unable to find even one of record on the Ellis Island computer. 3. Andy Right on! Miro is a prince, I saw him in October ... he spent some time with our group along with a newly found American cousin. I have not heard from him for about a month but will pass on the kudos to him Sretan Bozic, Robert "Andrew R. 3. Dear LISTER'S: I have been reading these and I am going to ask my friend who is serving an LDS mission in Zagreb, Croatia if they have a family history library over there in their Branch. Who knows we may get lucky with a willing local who loves history and helping others. I will get back to the lister's if I hear of anything....MERRY CHRISTMAS!
