    3. Hi Robert, The village in question is the village you mention. It is on the river and not too far from Vrbovsko. I must admit, I saw the place some time ago. In fact I even have a photo looking down onto Stefanci and it certainly was a place bigger than 4 families. I am sure that now I'm going to be asked about getting that photo but as it is with my mother who lives in Melbourne and I live in SIngapore, it may be a little while before I catn get it. Just thought I'd set some expectations. Hi Lori, I too have been contacted by Tom. :) Small world I guess but us Stefanac's have to unite somehow :) >From: Robert Jerin <rjerin26@yahoo.com> >Reply-To: croatia@rootsweb.com >To: croatia@rootsweb.com >Subject: Re: [CROATIA] Population of Steffanci & Radocaj >Date: Mon, 29 Jan 2007 06:06:06 -0800 (PST) > >Lori > > Do you know where these villages are located? > > > Robert > >Lori <lori-n@juno.com> wrote: > Hello Robert, > >I was recently contacted by someone who's grandparents had the same >surnames of each of my grandparents. 3. Hi John, Thanks for clearing up the location. Certainly villages in rural areas have lost population but unless they had some sort of industry there during communist times that is now closed I can not imagine such a great loss.... for instance my Grandfather's village, Vini Vrh, near Ozalj had a high of about 24 in the 1970s but is now sadly only 5, four of whom are cousins and maybe even the 5th is a cousin :) Robert John Stefanac <jmstefanac@hotmail.com> wrote: Hi Robert, The village in question is the village you mention. 1. [CROATIA] Yugoslavians with missing fingers using fake names in Summit County OH.
    2. Kurt McCrary
    3. Hello List, Excuse me if this isn't specifically relative to the the genealogy in Croatia, But I was searching through the Summit County, OH Naturalization records for Yugoslavia, I found several people with name changes. They entered the USA with a fake? / borrowed name and when they filed for Naturalization they had changed their name, to probably their real name. Why is that? Also many of the occupations were listed as a Rubber workers many of these workers had missing fingers. I am curious to know why? Does anyone know what caused them to lose their fingers? Best regards Kurt --------------------------------- 8:00? 8:25? 8:40? Find a flick in no time with theYahoo! Search movie showtime shortcut.
