Hi Mary, Please note recently established Croatian Heraldry Office. You can see more on www.croatian-heraldry.com Besr Regards
Hi all, We should be very cautious if we decide to deal with the so-called Croatian Heraldry Office. I have sent them requests asking who they are and for references.... and all they sent me was a reply saying that they would compile info in a "leather bound" book regarding one of my family names for over $1,000 US! We all know who the reputable professional genealogists are in Croatia.... Sanja Frigan-Cihua, Miro Caic, Vekaric, etc.. as they are very open about whom they are and whom they have done research for. On the other hand Croatian Heraldry Office will give us Heraldic information about a name for a very high cost, which in the end my have nothing to do with our immediate family. In the US we have all seen those kiosk based heraldic companies set up in US Malls... they come and go! So again I will ask who are you... Croatian Heraldry Office... who are the principals of your company... and what references can you give us? If you are reputable you will respond with names and references! On a relative from Cres 2nd marriage record in 1805 Portugal, it says he was a widower and his first wife, Antonia Baxixe (Antonia Bacich-sp?) died in Trieste. He was born in 1763 in Cres and he would have been 37 years old by 1800 - thus far I have not found a record of their marriage (in Cres or Trieste, I do not know but I am guessing Cres). I do need to go back to FHC and try to find this record and I also do not know if they had any children. Is there any way to find a record of her death in Trieste? Anyone familiar with Trieste records, do I need the name of the parish they were in, etc.? Elaine
Hello I too like Robert would like to ask you as well " Who are you" your web page doesnt seem to give much away other than you are located in Croatia. Do u have an address, phone number etc.so people can contact you. Even your email address is a google based email address and tells us nothing. I too would be very cautious to have any dealings with you. After all Croatian Heraldry Office you are dealing with people here who have been researching for many years and know exactly where they are looking for.
