Fantastic new searches available thru Google. Try typing in "horses" and get images of everything from cave art to horses dead in earthquakes to miniature horse photos. If you've seen it work already, sorry to duplicate the posting. I 've been startlingly successful recently with some genealogy searches and not keeping up with the mail. If it's new to you as it was to me, hours more fun in store. Forwarded from the KS-Clay county ListMom. Hi all I was just wondering if anyone is a subscriber to ancestry.com and what their opinions of the service are. Also, do they have any documents from the Slavic areas? Thanks Kevin *------------------------------------------------* You plant the wars you masters of men plan the wars and point the way and we will point the gun.
I have a subscription and have used the Census images. Other than that, I have had no luck with finding anything related to my Slovenian/Croatian genealogy. Didn't find anything there on my Croatian ancestors or the German ones. I found the census info to be missing a lot (black pages) and very difficult to see (not searchable). I found the CD's at my local LDS site which was searchable and printable - much much better. As far as being a weekly 'winner' on ancestralfindings.com, an affiliate of ancestry.com I think it must be a scam or sorts. I was a 'winner' and have emailed them 4 times to fine out how to access the site for the 'free' lookups and have as yet received no response. Sorry, but my experience has not been good.
