I need information on Mary Crews, wife of James Meredith. Her mother was Phoebe Goochee, a full-blood Cherokee Indian, but need father's name. Mary was born 1752, VA (do not know county); she married James 1769, Bedford Co., VA; she died and buried 1823 (?), Stokes Co., NC; her father may be William or Archie Crews?
