The following family appears in deeds in the published records of Wilkes Co., GA: Father: Handly Crews (dead by 6 Nov 1800) [Note: His children received 1/10 each of his real estate, so I'm thinking he had 10 children total, although not all are accounted for below.] Children: Nancy Crews (d. by 6 Nov 1801) Susannah Crews Martin Crews James Crews Agnes Crews John Crews--of Camden Co., GA in 1804 [Note: Sons-in-law appear to possibly be C.S. I ask because some of their neighbors are from SC while other are from Hanover Co., VA. Also, does anyone know anything about James Crews listed above? I don't think he's the same as my James W. Crews of Effingham and Chatham Counties, GA (who I strongly suspect comes from the Colleton Co., SC group of Crews), but I am curious about him. Also, the deed index to the book I cited above contains references to these additional Crews given names: Agathy, Littleberry, Stanley, Sucky, Susan, Susannah. Donna Sarchet Plainview, TX sarchet@
