If you ever encounter a Jefferson CREWS, either in Florida or reputed to have gone to Florida, I'd appreciate hearing about it. In the 1880 census in Polk County, Florida, he was shown as married to Mary DUNAWAY who was the sister of my wife's grandmother, Florida DUNAWAY. I'm trying to find the parents of the DUNAWAY sisters. One source told me that Jefferson CREWS may have been illegitimate. Tnx.
